If a college rejects you..

Was wondering, if I apply to a college, Uni of ND actually, and if my app doesnt go through, would they send me a letter of rejection? bear in mind im overseas.

Yes, they send you a letter that says you're a loser and that nobody wants you. Then the admissions comittee sits around and laughs.

What if... Someone got a letter in a small envelope thinking its a rejection letter and --------> x_x, but the small envelope was really an acceptance letter.

Yes. Many colleges have deadlines for a tuition deposit if you are accepted, so for a college to keep you waiting they would have to be real jackasses to screw up your chance to attend somewhere else.
