No I wouldn't be mad. Sometimes I think our cat does not realize that our hand is actually a part of our body! I think she thinks of it (hand) as a seperate entity. Sounds stupid I know, but when we play with her...we expect to get scratched.

But seriously, some cats come right up to you and "ask" to be pet, and as soon as you make any kind of move toward it, it hisses at you and lashes out. And don't give me this crap about how I "approached it wrong" or any of that crap. I know cats that do this with just about everyone, including their owners.

I've met two cats in my life that I could tolerate, and ironically, people always commented on how they were just dogs in the wrong body. These cats could be approached by anyone. When they wanted you to "fvck off", they simply walked away (what a concept) rather than signing your left cornea with their claw.

But cats like that are by far the exception. If this were the norm, I wouldn't have any problem with them.

Make sure to get it in deep enough so the cat has to figure out how to carefully remove it without permanent scarring. That way it can get the same "cat experience" the rest of us enjoy.

I have seen my family's cat hobble around for five minutes with a claw still hooked in it's belly, just on a flap of skin, it's hissing and spitting was very amusing..especially when it tries to bites it own paw..and then reacts to to that pain, while this is cruel, after a few times the cat learns not to be such a litle sh*t when i'm patting it.
BTW this is a male cate just under a 1 year old and is going through it's asshole teenage phase where it will attack for the sake of it..so it has it comming

this is my take, i find too many guys who dont like cats--I came to the conclusion 9/10 times its usually cause the guy has some identity problems. I dont understand why they HATE an animal, and then aside from saying "i dont like it" they have to go into detail how they will kill cats for pleasure. Personally i think its a sign of a guy who has a problem with insecurity, because liking cats is too feminine. Its one thing to not like an animal (just like rats or bats or something along those lines) its another to want to deface an animal and let everyone know about it, and a domesticated trained animal at that! And people who like to hurt animals in general usually have some personal problems anyways. (abusing animals indicates future abuse problems..)
Cause let me tell you, I know someones really tough when they say they can beat on an animal.....

i like cats. i hate dogs though, they suck mostly.

the dogs in my neighborhood sh!t in people's lawns, bite old people that are just going for a walk, and bark like barbaric animals for no apparent reason.

my friend does have a dog however, that i like. its a golden retriever and is really friendly. i wouldnt mind having a cool dog like that.

still, i much prefer cats to dogs. cats are smarter and a looooot cleaner/more sanitary.

i probably wont get too pissed if a cat scratched me. my and my friend mess around with his dog sometimes. it bites us pretty hard but we all know we're just playing.

Exactly. I'll defend myself against ANY animal or person... I just happen to find myself defending myself against cats more than anything else... the little bastards.

I've had to defend myself against one dog, and it was because it was nipping at my (then) 1-year old son. I kicked the thing in the juggular as it leaped toward him. That little fvcker hasn't bothered us since (he's my grandmother-in-law's dog).

But aside from that, no problems with dogs. Cats, on the other hand, are an altogether different story.
