The solution is obviously to send them careening off the nearest wall via a well-placed kick to the stomach or ass, just to let them know who's boss.

... and I believe that to be the source of the problem: cats quickly forget who's boss. A kick square to the sphincter is a great temporary solution to this "forgetfulness", but I know of no permanent cure. Perhaps a labotomy?

I love cats, all cats, and I can honestly say that no cat has ever hurted me (on purpose). I mean, of course, if their scared by a bang or a dog or something, sure they'll be scared. Or, when you deflea them, they attack you, of course, the shst burns like hell.

I had a big, black cat, but he ran away, haven't seen him since. He always came to me when I was lying on my back, watching TV. He'd jump on my belly, come to my head, and wrap his paws around my neck, as in a hug-like fashion. He'd put his nose against mine, and lick my cheeck. God, I miss him.

:(
Jesus Christ... please tell me you're not a man.

Dude, STFU. I loved him, and I will not tolerate any bad talk about him, you hear? Why would it be bad to love an animal, anyway. I mean, it'd be bad to 'get' it from behind, but other than that, it's perfectly fine.

Cliffs: STFU, n00b!

You didn't answer Ilmater's question.

Yes, I am male, and as you might know (or not, you loveless bastard), males are able to show affection and love, too.

wtf? how is that relevant?

In my experience, asians and indians don't like cats.

Why? Because they're consider a food?

My parents are Chinese, and have cats (as pets).

I do not prefer/dislike cats, and I am white.

I could live with a cat if had to..but dogs>cats.

Cats, unlike dogs, use discretion when showing affection. Perhaps that's why there are so many twats on here that dislike them.

What you mean is...that cats don't appreciate sh!t? Do they not realize they are just a pet?

That is whats great about dogs. They love you because you provide shelter, food, care. That is all they want from you.

And, that is all cats should need too.

Explain why cats are useless? They're not useless, clearly, as they have two uses: 1) killing mice (though I doubt they ever get to put that skill to use any more), and 2) making me laugh when I throw them across a hardwood floor.

LOL

I think it's funny that we're insulted because we're too "simple" to win the affection of a cat. Gee, maybe I just have better things to do with my life than to make a hobby out of maintaining the affection of a self-righteous, indignant little puke of a furball that might lash out at me if I pet it in the afternoon instead of the morning or because it feels threatened by the stripes on my golf shirt.

 rofl.

If a cat scratched me while I was petting it, it would probably be b/c I was teasing it.
So I would not abuse it for doing that.

awwwwww, poor wittle baby got scwatched by a kitty-witty when he was a wittle baby. poor wittle thing.

fvcking grow up and get over your psychotic phobia. idiot.

Please don't take this personally as I'm mostly joking and I'm not directing this solely at you.. .but WTF is wrong with cat owners? Why are psycho cats "cute?" Psycho dogs freak out during storms and bash down doors. People then shoot said dogs. Psycho cats, on the other hand, are merely laughed at while they're trying to gouge your eyeballs out. WTF is wrong with you people? Just because you can't discipline a cat (because they're too fvcking stupid to be trained or disciplined) you think it's "cute" when they do sh1t a dog would be put to sleep for?

yes, hundreds of people are mauled to death by cats every year. idiot.

when a a cat scratches you, it hurts LESS than a nice, happy dog jumping up to see you and nailing you in the crotch.

and as a general PSA to all the other idiots in this thread: animals read body language like guys read great T and A. if you don't like cats, any cat you see will get scared and aggressive and will fvcking cut you if you come close. gee, i wonder why. maybe because they're smart and they don't want to get hurt by some fvcker who thinks it's cool to throw small animals against fvcking walls. have any of you idiots ever stopped to think that maybe the cats you've had bad experiences with were mean to you because YOU hate THEM? cats don't just piss on beds for fun. they do it for REVENGE. trying not being such a dick and maybe the cats in your life will treat you better.

Cats are far from being ungrateful or stupid animals. What I've found is most people that hate cats don't really know much of anything about them, that they think they do. I've also known people that disliked cats until they got one, then they'd kill *you* if you tried to take their cat away. Then there so many guys who it makes feel cool and manly to hate cats.

And thomsbrain nailed it.

I hated cats until my GF got one.

I don't know what I'd ever do without him, he's the cutest pet I've ever had the pleasure of living with!!

I dunno..I think most of these guys are just kidding around..I know I am (if I said anything).

I prefer dogs..but..I coud live with a cat just fine (when we were growing up we had as much as 12 cats at one time though all were outside cats). My sister took the one "survivor" and she is a great cat. Never scratches me, or anything. She does like to "knead" my belly like it is dough, then lie down, and sometimes her claws prick a bit. Its no big deal though.

Everyone likes her when they come over too.

She needs to keep the cats claws clipped.

If a cat scratched me, even unintentionally, I'd probably get annoyed and brush it away.

I'm not a pet person in general, but I'd have to say that I prefer dogs. It's very easy to see their excitement when you come home after being gone all day. A cat would be just as likely to sit and stare at you through half lidded eyes as it would be to rise and greet you.

There are exceptions, and I'm sure that there are plenty of people here who will say "But I have a cat and he blah blah blah". Be happy, for you are the lucky ones. My family has owned several, and IMO they were all dim-witted, disinterested giving or recieving affection, and generally nothing more than fuzzy purring (sometimes mewling) wastes of space.
