IEXPLORE.EXE won't close

Hey there, and thanks in advance for any help. My friend's computer I'm currently on has two IEXPLORE.EXE processes running and when i try to end them with the task manager they end and then pop right back up. He uses firefox so I wouldn't expect to see IEXPLORE up at all. I've tried adaware, spybot, smitrem, virus scan, i can't figure this dang thing out! Thanks for any help!

What is this?:

Is this something you cut/pasted, or did you type this in? I can find no reference to any file named "uploadheck.exe"

I would let Hijack this "fix" this line (uncheck it). Reboot. Run Hijackthis again, and see if the iexplore.exe's are running.

Also, what antivirus software did you try? I don't see any antivirus among the HJT log. If you need something that's good + free, try free Kaspersky. Follow my directions when you set it up.

BTW he has outdated Java. You should run Secunia's online checkup and update everything it reports is out-of-date, even stuff like Flash Player.
