I'm about to buy a Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 motherboard for my very first PC. (I'm a mac guy!
)
And as I understand it (from reading the pdf manual on Gigabyte's site) that it does not come with the cable for connecting Firewire devices? I have googled the heck out of the web and cannot for the life of me find this adaption!
I am assuming its just a cable that attaches to a plate that goes into a spare PCI hole, right? (Remember, I'm a PC virgin here..) Or do I need a case with a Firewire port built in?
Does it come out with an 8pin Firewire-800 port, or 6-pin 400?
Can someone please point me to a link for where to find this thing?
And while you're at it... check my specs below and please tell me if I'm missing anything or if I may have any incompatibilities..
Using it for mild gaming.. WoW, HL2, EQ, etc.. Not planning on overclocking.
Thanks!
