Anyone had experience with either the Western Digital WDA002 or the D-Link DFW-500 Firewire PCI cards? I'm looking for a inexpensive but quality card to hook a Sony DVMC-DA2 Media Converter to.
Thanks

I'm using my Audigy sound card. It has a firewire imput. The benefit is that I get a great sound card, firewire imput for my digital Sony camera, and I save a PCI slot. Pick one up OEM for about $70. I'm not sure what the WD or D-link run but for me it was worth spending a little more for the Audigy.

I'm already have a Sb Live Platinum, otherwise I'd probably consider your option, plus it's always nice to save a PCI slot. There's probably not much difference between the cards except I think the D-Link has one more port.
