IE8 + WMP12

How can i get IE8 to automatically start playing a file in WMP when I download it. For instance before I download itunes, I was able to click on a file on twit or revision 3 and it would just start playing in WMP. Now it actually downloads the file to my PC and I have to watch the file by clicking of the downloaded file on my PC. Does any of this make sense? I did my best to try and explain it. Anyone know of a solution?

should be able to re-associate the files from within wmp 12. it should be in the tools -> options menu.

I must be stupid, but I can't find that anywhere in options.
