Maybe that would be nice, but only if firefox had at least 50% or more of the market share. As it is now, if it did kick FF's ass, FF would be trampled.

that wasn't why I went to FF, but at least they're trying.

I HATE tabbed browsing. I use both browsers for different tasks

ya i agree with u
after reading the article... it looks like tabbed browsing isn't the only thing... I'm glad security is a focus. I will go back to them for a new trial run just like I've done with FF. I hate that FF is a hog.

transparent Portable Network Graphics (PNG) support, which will allow for the display of overlayed images in the browser;
Holy sh!t!! How far behind are they on this one? Although not really a big deal to me, they've lacked support for this for way too long.

I don't get why people say they "hate" tabbed browsing. It cleans up your toolbar and saves you time looking for things. Not to mention if you don't like it, don't use it. I just like FF more than IE now, end of story.

And I've only gotten two popups ever since using FF, so I dunno what all this talk about popups is about.

Well, I never had any problems (spyware, popups) with IE, only because I took "precautions" to them :p

FireFox is just much more convenient for me

stupid... why does microsoft feel like they have to be in the lead with EVERYTHING? it's not like mozilla is winning in the OS market.

Ben English, Microsoft's security and management product manager
English reiterated that features such as tabbed browsing are not important to IE users.
Remember, it's not the users of MS's software that request features, it's MS's product-development management that dictates to their user-base what features that they should desire or not.

(More than a bit ironic, considering how MS has made comparisons in the past between open-source software and communism, and their software development model and capitalism, when in fact the reality is very nearly 100% opposite to that.)

Remember, if it wasn't MS, then it would just be some other company; you see, sheeple lack the ability to think for themselves, and must be told what to think instead. So don't place the blame entirely on MS, they're just filling the "market need" for a "sheeple-controller" corporation.

meh. I've never been a fan of tabbed browsing.

I guess I'm just too used to using alt tab to flick between windows.

It's a lot harder to use ctrl-tab to switch between tabs?

Still a long ass way to go before they even have a fraction of the features of Opera.
