I have two computers, both XP with the latest updates and both have a problem with Internet Explorer 7.0.
System #1 is an older system . . . 900MHz with 512MB of system memory. For some strange reason, it had changed its default setting to Work Offline. It then tells me that I need to go online to reach this page, so I click on File and unselect Work Offline and then the next time I go into IE7 is has defaulted back to Work Offline.
System #2 is somewhat newer, also running XPP with the latest updates, and this one takes a long time to connect to the home page when first launched. Sometimes it will be 5 or 10 minutes before it connects. After that, I can leave it minimized and it will connect to another site as expected, but if I exit and then go back in later then I have the same delay.
It can see the router without problem, as well as the other computers on my small home network. E-mail works without delay.
Any suggestions???
