I have 2 computers sitting right next to each other. Each has an identical shortcut to the login for my ftp server web space.
1 machine has IE6
1 machine has IE7
On the IE6 box I launch the shortcut and the login box appears. I put my username and password and hit OK. My web space opens up and I can see all of my files in Windows explorer. I then (for example) click on the public_html folder and it opens up showing all of the folders and files I have in it. It works perfect!
On the IE7 box I launch the shortcut and the login box appears. I put my username and password and hit OK. My web space opens up but it opens up in old looking view of parent directory tree as if I'm in Windows 3.1. In bold across the top it says that if I want to view the ftp page in windows explorer to simply select the page tab and then click on the drop down option to view page in windows explorer. If I do that it opens another window with an error saying that it can't log me in as a secure anonymous user or something like that. If I don't choose this option and simply click on the link for public_html, I get the standard unable to open web page error.
I'm stuck. I simply want to login and have it have the simple folder view and I want to be able to access the folders. Help. Thanks.
