IE7 Has Auto DL'd.....

I've been reading here and there about problems. It DL'd itself and for now I told it not to update. Has IE7 been a problem for anyone?
 
It is ok on my Dell Dimension 8200 which is about 4 years old ... XP Home and SP2
However, my brother has a Dell Laptop (less than 1 year old) ... it may have MCE
on it .... not sure, IE7 will not properly install on that machine
 
hmmmmm.....underwhelmed. Btw, on this site the quick reply box doesn't show in IE7. Maybe some option I need to turn on? At least nothing blew up.... yet. Back to FF.
