IE6 + W2K SP2 + ATOT = not compatible

the stated combination does not work.
The forums doesn't load, well the banners do and then IE6 says 'Done' and stops.
It works after a reload. Pretty damn annoying!

FOrum issues???

That is not a forum issue, thats bandwidth capping. IE6 works perfectly fine, your hitting the forums when they are under load and the capping is cutting off you because its reached its cap. I cannot do anything about this.

Happens with subscribers too, Tony. I sometimes get incomplete pages or pages with the images missing, and it doesn't happen at other sites.. only this one. Oh yeah, and not OT... FS/FT... my home away from home... 🙂

That would still be some sort of network interruption inbetween you and anandtech, have you ever put a network sniffer on and see where the connection is dropped?.

There is no capping whatsoever on any of the subscriber services, that much is certain. I have never every seen the issue and use the subscriber forums on 2 different connections every day.

I can't say that I've ever had any issues with IE6 and loading forum pages. Nutscraper on the other hand has been nothing but problems. 😛

Mozilla 1.0 works like a champ for a 2nd browser.

Tony -- Can't say I've had any problems loading pages with NS 6.23. I've had plenty with IE 5.5. I use both because some sites use IE specific code, but with those (most) that work with both, I like the display better in NS. Stranger, yet, the sites that also work with the older NS 4.7x look even better with that browser. 🙂

Harvey - I have to agree with John. Even though Mozilla and Netscape are similar in many ways, I find that for me Mozilla works much better. 😀

Even the switch from Netscape to Mozilla was painless. All the Netscape profiles and bookmarks were accessible from Mozilla.
