IE6 Problem - no toolbars at all

Hey guys. How about giving this one a crack.

I'll got a friend that somehow got all the toolbars in IE6 to dissappear. No links, no addy, no buttons, no file bar, no annoying flying windows logo, nothing.

He said this happened after he opened a link from OE6 (to unsubscribe from something).

I've reinstalled IE6, reverted back to IE5.5, removed IE from programs files and registry (that I could find), and overloaded some of my registry settings on top of his (same version of IE6). No go.

All I've accomplished is to get the google toolbar back, but that's it.

I'm guessing there are some registry setting somewhere, but I can't seem to find them.

IE6 really sucks without any toolbars of any kind.

Ideas? Thanks for the help.

not even the file, edit, view, favorites, tools, help drop down menus? if those arent there, i dont know. try pressing F11 or something...

IE6 still comes up initially without any toolbars (dropdown or otherwise), but after hitting F11 twice they come back. It's not a perfect fix. However, it is livable.

Thanks a ton.

i was thinking that way, because if you didnt have the file drop down menus, essentially, its very tough to fix the problem, even if you knew what it was. F11 will bring them out, but it makes it looks weird, and maxamized...hopefully that will at least give you a bit more functionailty and you can fix it someway or another...good luck
