i really like the ability to block or accept cookies from individual sites. my question is, what sites do you block from and what sites do you always allow cookies from? i cant really think of any scenarios where you would need to allow cookies as long as you dont block them.

BLOCKED SITES:
ad-flow.com
avenuea.com
bfast.com
bfast.net
comission-junction.com
counted.com
doubleclick.net
fastclick.net
focallink.net

net.com
popupsponsor.com
qksrv.net
valueclick.net

Many message boards use cookies to save your preferences. I participate in forums where whenever I visit them I see how many new messages were posted for each thread. Without the cookie, that function isn't possible. With cookies, many sites that you frequently visit can be customized to meet your needs.

When accepting cookies, be sure to only accept that site's cookie, and not any third party cookies that might try to slip in with it. The best way to handle this is to run a cookie management utility, as they make it much easier to...well...manage cookies. I use Cookie Pal. I wasn't able to use it for a few weeks until they made a version for IE6, and I was one miserable Web surfer. Give it a shot.

Zonelabs has some program on their site that does what you want, and AnalogX has CookieWall.

Yup, IE6 has what is called "Privacy Report" (it's down on the bottom status bar or "View->Privacy Report...")... it allows you to block cookies.
