My system hard locks when viewing animated greeting cards with sound on IE5.Works perfectly for everything else.I have the latest drivers for my SB Live Value and my Elsa Gladiac.Does same thing with old or new drivers.I am out of ideas!

Try Add/Remove programs, click on Microsoft Internet Explorer, click the Uninstall button, and it will pop up a menu with "Fix IE" as one of the options. Select it and let 'er fly. Hopefully that will fix the problem, otherwise you might want to check Microsoft's support site. Good luck! 😀

rushr,
If the Repair tool on the IE doesn't work, try clearing out the Temporart Internet Files and delete your cookies. Then reduce your Hardware Accell to none. That is in Control Panels, System, Properties, Graphics, Hardware Accell.

Internet Explorer isn't listed in my Add/Remove Programs.Apparently it should be?? So I couldn't try try that suggestion.I'll try the other suggestions first. Thanks

IE5.0 will not be listed in the Add/Remove Programs if it is WIN98 second Eddition. That windows has the 5.0 inbedded into the program.

If you are using 5.0 update it to the 5.01 at the update site..if you have already done this then it will show up in the add/remove section and will give the options to add to, repair, or restore the previous version.. sounds like you need to go to the update site and do ALL the updates and it may cure your problem.
