IE view source not displaying

Windows XP Pro SP2 platform, single user.

I ran several searches on various topics in the forum but found nothing.

My View - Source in IE is not displaying the source for any web page.

What gives?

Google searches allude to Internet options but go no further.

What options do I need to change to view source code for web pages?

Need help.

Thanks

Hmm. I thought MS had fixed that. Did you try emptying the IE temp files location? On at least some versions of IE a full temp file cache (or corruption in the cache) could cause failure of the view source function.

There have also been some other more arcane causes. IIRC there was an unusual environment setting which could cause the problem. It was also possible to cause the problem by chaning the the application used for viewing source to an inappropriate setting. (This setting is on the Programs tab of the browser's Internet Options dialog.)
