IE start page keep changing

my IE startpage is keep changing to some other website
I change to msn.com or something else,but it changes back to that site again
SpySweeper keeps poping up saying that IE is trying to change startpage
I set the optioin to ignor and keep the default page but that doesn't work
still changes

Definitely spyware causing that and doesn't look like SpySweeper is taking care of business. I recommend running:

AdAware (can download free version)

If that doesn't clean up your problem, you can be a little more aggressive with:

SpyBot Search & Destroy

I've yet to encounter any spyware that one of the two couldn't take care of. Start page hijacking is pretty common and easy to fix.

they gave me list of problems and i fixed it
still can't change start page back to defualt
i must be doing something wrong

Hello PCFetish,

Before you do anything
1. Make sure that you have extracted HiJackthis to a folder that is isolated before removing anything, for hijackthis makes backups within the folder it is in.
2. Reboot into safe mode
3. Close all browsers/windows explorer

fix the following, rember to kill the process in process viewer before removing (if applicable)
