So the latest hack/virus/whatever was supposedly stealing peoples passwords for online games (I'm guessing WoW haha)..

Was this blown way out of proportion or did a large number of people actually get affected by this?

Of course we all know Mozilla created it in the first place to sway ppl over! =p: evil;

I think there are very few gamers that use IE.

I think there are very few gamers that use IE.

Steam always uses IE. Mozilla's set as default browser, yet Steam insists on IE.

Because IE is guaranteed to be installed on every Windows PC. However:

Using IE for this is still not ideal as it makes things hard and doesn't expose APIs at the level we really need for the overlay. We may still evaluate changing the browser/HTML rendering engine in the future.

this was one of my reasons telling people I knew to patch...

"Wah, I never use IE, fuck that"

"Steam uses IE, Warhammer launcher uses IE, all these apps you don't think about use IE."
