I just did a clean Windows 2000 Professional install on a brand new HDD and im dual booting that with ME, my problem is that when I open IE, it hangs for a while, then doesnt load the page fully, I have AOL on my system, and I tried the browser in there, and it works fine, the only problem is that some pictures dont show up, does anyone know what could be the problem? My system setup is as follows

Asus CUSL2
Celeron 566@850
256MB Crucial PC133
27.3GB HDD (Windows ME)
15GB HDD (Windows 2000)
Geforce DDR
Monster Sound MX300
3Com USR 56k V.90 Winmodem

Uninstall AOL. AOL is for retards and it doesn't play nice, it screws with everything on your system.

God knows it won't uninstall properly either. You will probably have to reformat and reinstall. But whatever you do, don't let the AOL client touch your system.

I recommend plugging out your network interface card (modem or ethernet card) and replugging it into another PCI or ISA slot. Your problem seems indicative of a resource conflict or a damaged PCI or ISA slot. My offered solution should solve either problem.

Try Opera instead of Netscape. It's a better browser and is smaller. Try the evaluation version for free to see if this helps your problem.

It wont let me download, I think it may be a problem with TCP/IP...I went to download.com and i clicked on the file for opera and it just hung there. Any suggestions?
