IE seems to have stopped opening new windows when I click on a link targeting _blank or whatever else opens a new window. Not only this, but it doesn't open the link in the same window either. Running Windows XP Pro with all updates so far, IE6

Edit: Fixed! Click here for info. Thanks to morkinva for the info! :D

Yeah, and I was really expecting it to be fixed after a restart too, seemed like one of those problems. Oh well.

Does XP have a 'repair internet explorer' option? In 98 I go to remove mswindows IE6 which then brings up the screen to repair or restore older version.

I had hoped to try a reinstall of IE6, but it doesn't seem to be listed in add/remove programs. I have noticed a silver lining though, no chance of popups!

The program 'Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 and Internet Tools' isn't listed as one of the programs you can remove? Then I dunno where xp shoves that particular information

The closest thing I found was Internet Explorer in Windows Components, but its only listed as being 200k. IE is a pretty integral part of windows now, so they took it out of add/remove programs I suppose, but I really want to get this thing fixed so I can stop copy/pasting links from ATOT into the address bar! :p
