I recently upgraded to IE 6.0 and I have a problem with my favorites organization. Typicaly it is in the order I add to favorites or date modified with the first being on top. After the upgrade of cource, the order has been changed to alphabetical order and I can't find anything now as I have many favorite cites and the only way I keep track is by the date I added them. I need help to set the default view to date modified order. I know hte dates are fine because if I go to the favorites folder through windows explorer then I can view the list in the order it should be in. I can always add all of the favorites in order that I have in my folder but that would take at least a few hours of wasted time. If anybody knows how to change this, please help.

Thanks

Outside of dragging and dropping, or renaming, I know of no sort other than alphabetical. Here is a trick I find useful . . . edit all the Favorite entries and number them starting with 01. That way you can auto sort and keep them the way you want them. I go to great trouble when I add to Favorites to use a name that puts it where I want it. I have always found the default entry at the end of the list to be a huge PITA. :)

Too bad that the Favorites list doesn't break out and display in parallel columns rather than having to scroll for ever. That was the main thing I like about Netscape's bookmarks - they spread across the screen in a useful way.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like it will take a while anyway I do it.
