I'm having an odd problem on my wife's computer. ( if it were mine I'd just reinstall the O/S or upgrade to XP) (anyone who has been married for any length of time will understand)
I cannot connect to any web sites even microsoft update! Email works, mozilla works, any games that play over the web work but IE 6 will not work. I downloaded the IE setup program and ran it and still no luck. I click on the remove program in the control panel and IE asks if I want to repair I click yes and in grinds a bit then tells me to reboot. I installed 98 on one of the Linux Box's I have and when through the connection and advanced tab line by line and mine works and my wifes does not. Norton AV picks up nothing. One time during the repair process it did say the scrrand.dll ( I think that was it) was missing I pulled it off of another box and added it to the system file area. Any ideas ?😕
