IE experts... help!

I don't know whether it's related to that lop.com plug-in that I STUPIDLY installed a couple weeks ago, but this problem is driving me nuts.

Right now, IE 5.01 SP2 will always kill any page, file or image loading even before it's done. For example, say I click a picture, the picture will load 10% at best and then IE just stops. If I'm downloading a 800kb file, it just stops at 40kb. If I load a page like Anandtech Forums, I have to reload a bunch of times because the page just loads halfway.

It looks like the timeout on my IE is funked, but I can't find the setting anywhere. I'm not sure this is the cause of the problem though.

Any help would be appreciated. I love 5.01 SP2... I would hate to upgrade.

Did you try and remove this lop.com plug-in?
You could access the add/remove applet in control panel and click on change/remove (add/remove however it is listed in your OS). When this is clicked you will get a choice of restoring your previous config or repairing IE, the repair might help.
Or restore you previous config and then update it back to 5.01 SP2.
