I had recently built myself a new computer. It had been working fine for the most part but occasionaly IE would crash and completely shutdown. It would happen maybe once every day or two. I thought I possible could have a memory issue but I ran memtest overnight and my memory was fine and also no other applications were acting flaky. anyway, msnff.dll was the module causing the error in IE but I have not figured out what exactly this file is. I can't find anything on the internet about it. I believe my error had something to do with the msn toolbar and possibly the password manager that is included with the msn toolbar. I removed the msn toolbar and have not received the error since. Does anybody know anything about msnff.dll? Has anybody else run into this error? The windows xp event viewer gave me very little info other than the dll name.

Yes, I am having the same problem. It seems to happen on certain sites more so than others. In particular is www.wunderground.com. I am also running the latest version of everything. I too believe it has to do with the form fill feature on MSN toolbar. I have not seen any fixes to this yet. I'll keep looking.

I've had that error on such a constant basis that i gave up on IE and moved on to firefox. Many others i know have reported similar errors and i just close my mouth and point them to firefox.

Although i did see less repetitions of the error when i changed out my memory if that helps.
