IE browsing trouble

Hello, I am using IE 6 currently with Win2k, and it everytime I have more than 1 IE browser wiindow open and I click on one of my bookmarks, it always loads into the 1st IE window that was open and not the window I am currently in. I've uninstalled and reinstalled but I get the same results. Are there some settings that I need to turn on or off somewhere. Thanks for any help.

Here is an idea you can try...if you goto tools-internet options-advanced and on that under the browsing section check to see if there is check next to the option that says "Reuse windows for shortcut browsing." If there is uncheck it and try....might work...

That definitely helps, but it opens up an entirely new window when I click a link, so I have alot of windows open when browsing

Does that happen with all your bookmarks or specific ones. Might be that the link is setup to open the bookmark in a different browser and that by default it uses the first browser open or the last active window. If you could send an example of your bookmark that might be helpful.
