IE and Netscape keep crashing

Every day my IE and Netscape crash. I'll reach a certain site, and IE will just crash and disappear without any message. Netscape crashes too, but gives me a message right before it closes itself. Gives some error code and mentions jvm.dll . I'm guessing that stands for Java virtual machine and there is a Java problem of some sort. I have the Sun Java 1.4 plugin installed since IE did not come with Java support. Can someone help me?

By the way Running Windows XP, and just installed the IE6 Service Pack 1, but no luck.

EDIT: OK, I tried running the "Java Web Start" program in my Start Menu that the Java download came with from Sun, and i get the same message Netscape gives me when it crashes, it says this:

javaw.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point _JVM_SupportsCX8@0 could not be located in the dynamic link library jvm.dll
