IE 6 - tools/options does nothing

When I try to go to tools/options in IE6, it doesn't do anything. This on WinXP Pro (non SP1). Anyone know why?

what happens if you try accessing internet options in control panel?

 

Make sure you've loaded a webpage first...sometimes it won't work if I open IE and click Tools --> Options REALLY quick. Make sure you have a page loaded first.

Or easier - click the stop button. For some reason, IE doesnt like you modifying the settings while it's loading a page.

Another way in is to right click IE from the desktop and then left click properties and your straight in.

That was the problem, it doesn't have a start page when opened. Loading a page before going to options works. Thanks.
