IE 6 Page Loads with no text (done)

I have a new laptop HP pavillion zt3000 running windows XP Home. I am running IE 6.0 . Most web pages load with no problem. When I try to log on to the Emory University course selection and registration web site the page loads I see it for a second then the browser page goes blank white and the bottom left says done.

What do I need to change or configure to view this site.

The problem does not relate to an open in a new window, but on entering a password at a secure site the next page on hitting enter comes up blank after seeing the correct page flash and go blank, (done)

PS. This was my first post because I visited this site multiple times for advice on pc builds and thankfully had no problems related to the builds. Hence, I had nothing to say or ask until now. I guess I am a lurker, but I have learned alot from reading posts on this site.
