IE 6 or New Message Form Problem?

I am on dial-up so I like to load two or three web sites or Anandtech forms and read one while another is loading in the background.

I could be reading one page and then get interupted by the form that I am loading in the background when it gets finished loading.

I have tried other websites and this does not happen only with the new Anantech Forms.

what do you mean interrupted ? It steals focus and comes to the foreground ?

I hate pop-overs too. Focus should remain where I put it, on the page I'm currently reading.

javascript code can make a page steal focus on purpose... perhaps to put a blinking cursor in a particular field so no clicks are necessary before form typing. Maybe it's something within the new FT code... likely since it focuses right away on the SEARCH box now. If it doesn't happen in other sites, this is obviously not an IE problem, but rather whatever page is using it.

Whenever I hit reply, a new popup window opens with the reply box in it and it seems like the thread window behind it refreshes or something.

Yes, rh71, the loading anandtech form page steals focus and comes to the foreground when it has finished downloading. I have tried other websites and this does not happen.

^ definitely the search box stealing focus via javascript. It is purposeful and tested it to be the case just now (though not really a problem with broadband loading pages)
