I had heard that IE 5.5 had gone final in the OS forum, is this true?

At the moment I have 5.50.4134.0000 , is this the final version anyway
 
Not yet. I tried downloading it yesterday and it's still Beta. Well, they already updated the .dat file
 
IE 5.5 adds nothing new for browsing. Why bother? Labeling it 5.2 would have been closer to the mark. If I were a web developer who used only IE I would upgrade since 5.5 apparently adds a ton of "hidden" stuff. But I'm not so I'll wait until the first or second service pack, as usual.
 
Running WinME, i got version 5.50.4133.0400.

i think i read somewhere they were only naming it 5.5 to keep up with the competition, making it look like they were doing more upgrades than the competitors. i dunno. runs great for me.
