IE 5.0 Homepage resetting - Please Help!!!!

After a brief visit to an XXX site (by my brother) my IE homepage automatically resets to this site every time I Restart my computer. I have deleted my cookies. I have deleted everything out of my temporary internet files. I go into Internet options and reset the homepage to what I want it to be, but when I restart the computer, that XXX site is set as the homepage.

PLEASE HELP!!

Sounds like a problem. Open your registry, (regedit in windows systems) and search (ctrl + F) for that URL, if you find it, delete it. Make sure to continue searching (F3) and remove it. If it still comes back, run MSCONFIG, and look at the startup tag. Make sure there are no references to it there. Good luck, and the best way to prevent that is DONT LET SIBLINGS TOUCH YOUR COMPUTER.

MAke sure "Homepage is last visited" isnt turned on

Third party software, like iMesh, Bonzibuddy, all that other gay stuff can do that too

Also, I'd suggest downloading and installing Ad-aware to scan your registry and hard drives for spyware, etc. Link Make sure you also download and copy the reg.file update to the Ad-aware program folder so it has the most recent...um...definitions(?)
