IDIOT stole $16,000 from my MOM!!

Some dumb-a$$ worker from the post office stole those convenience checks from SEVERAL of her credit cards, and decided to write them out to HIS NAME. In addition to being an a$$, he's a moron as well. My mom found out when one credit card called and then another checking to make sure it was her wrting the checks...of course, it wasn't...post office will now have his a$$...

Exactly. And given that you can make 99.99% of your purchases with a CC anyway, they're pretty useless except for fraud attempts by stupid PO workers.

...I know, I hate the almost daily routine of shredding after I look through the mail. I guess this would not have helped though - my mom never even got them, the moron picked through her mail before it could even be delivered.

And the kicker to it all...one of the CC companies calls her at work, and "reminds" her that her last bill was not paid, and asks her if she is planning on paying...my mom <sarcasm> kindly </sarcasm> reminded her that her bill was in the same envelope that the checks were taken out of, and therefore never got the bill...

I hate those checks. Chase have been sending me those every other week. I finally had it and told them, stop sending me those checks or I will cancel the credit card altogether. One week later, I found one of those mail in my mailbox. So, I gave them a call. I needed to close a credit card account anyhow and Chase just made the decision for me.
