Idiot in Lambo

lol, all the money for that car and never was taught how to drive it. I assume he turned traction control off. He didn't seem to try and counter steer at all; the back kicked out just a very small amount and that was the new direction it was pointing and so the new direction it went. I think he totally did not expect it at all to fish tail.

actually i think he did try to counter steer, but about 2 seconds too late...hahahaha

but if he didn't countersteer so much so late, maybe he could have just went over curb into the grass...

This is an interesting illustration of just how potent today's performance cars are. In general I think of the Gallardo as a relatively garden-variety supercar, and a safe one at that, thanks to its AWD. Even so, a few seconds of throttle indiscretion is enough to get it out of shape and locked between two other cars. I can only imagine being the Lambo driver, stuck in place and unable to even open my door, and surrounded by nothing but (warranted) anger, scorn and laughter from everyone else on the road. What a jackass . . .

That car doesn't have an obscene amount of power either. A lot, yes, but not too awfully much. Stupid driver.

500hp in a car that weighs 3300 lbs is quite a lot. Certainly enough to get you in trouble easily if you turn the electronic nannies off. I've never even been in a car with 500hp. Most I've driven is around 390hp.

Now my wife's car on the other hand, you could turn the TC off and never miss it... of course, you can't turn it completely off in her car though. 😀

Lol reminds me of the time I gave my car a little too much power on a wet road with a curve. Good thing my mad skills let me control the spin so I landed safely on the side of the road without hitting anything.

Sure did teach me a lesson about wide tires, rain, and RWD.

You can easily get sideways, even in a heavier car. I won't even show my chick how to turn off the traction control in her new car.

i did that once like 7-8 years ago. on a curve, summer tires, pouring rain, car lost control and i just let off the gas. car still sort of drifted across lanes and nearly went completely sideways into the divider.

scary but luckily nothing happeend but was only about a foot from the divider when my car stopped moving.

You see this? This is the 'car instantly goes in a ditch' button. Don't touch it.

😀

ive driven a blown 383 stroker that was the length of a civic, but lighter. ive gotten it sideways in traffic, but it was on purpose. that guy shouldnt have been driving that if he had no experience, but then we wouldnt be able to giggle at the video.

oh, the car was a custom built 48 ford anglia drag car converted into a street rod. the guy that built it focused on speed and performance over aesthetics, so it was very stable and fast. faster than ive ever driven before. scary fast. there was no tcs in it to turn off.

You can go crazy with a lot less power with no TC...the S2000 does that when it's wet...and the gen one has no TC! It really teaches you respect, as well as a few track days in the rain! woohoo!

Koing

hell, i did that in my 300ish HP 76 impala for fun.

How hard is it to:
1. Let off
2. Turn your tires the direction you want the front to go

really?

I mean, it's automatic for me. Is it really not for some people? (yes, I play with oversteer now and then when it isn't a danger)

haha thats hilarious. I grew up a few towns over, not suprised this happened. Lots of kids w/ daddy's money get cars they have no business driving.

Hah, idiot. I live like 2 miles from that intersection. The worst thing is that the street he was turning onto quickly becomes a 2-lane road with a 35 (maybe 30) MPH speed limit.

i believe letting off contributed to this disaster
