Idiot CEO goes off on rant, employee records it

I guess this guy is upset over an email that was circulated by somebody talking about how they didn't like what the company was doing (I can't find that email online--if anybody has it I'd like to see it).

Anyway, the CEO acts like a little bitch and since nobody will come forward decides to lay off 25 people.

This is now on several major news sites. He sounds like a crappy guy to work for the way he goes on and on in the meeting. Absolutely terrible leadership. More interested in vengeance against one person than anything else, so makes others suffer for it.

'Proverbs say that the wicked will set a trap, but the righteous will prevail and the wicked will fall into their own trap,' said Tate in the recording.
"And the sociopathic dicks will invariably be the ones who run companies."

Careful, that CEO might sue you for talking bad about him. /lol

During the meeting, the CEO of the 200-strong firm straddled the line between fury and disappointment, threatening to sue any staff member who posted negative comments on Facebook.
'My favourite part is when you post something and take it down and you don't think we archive it all,' said Tate.
'Idiots.
'If you wanna discuss what goes on in this office, you're gonna get it.
'I have a good history and a good track record of catching you.
'I might not get you today, I might not get you tomorrow, but I'm gonna get you.'

Ryan Tate,
In 2009, Tate Publishing LLC was named one of the best places to work in the state of Oklahoma. In a post published on your blog in April 2, 2009, you say 'most publishers outsource and farm out their work because it is cheaper' and went on to say 'we handle every element of production in house' and also 'if you want to lead an industry and succeed you need to make the extra investment in the staff'. Three short years later, you have opened an office in the Philippines to do just that – outsource and farm out the work that has been done by loyal, hard-working Oklahoma employees. What has changed in that time that has caused you to come to the conclusion that “a staff that never quits” as you referred to them, are no longer worth the investment?

lol, email was in your link OP.

Got to love at will employment!

I don't know the labor laws but am curious how this will turn out. If he fired them for no reason, that would be fine, but he's firing them because someone else sent an anonymous email. I'm wondering if this is a good case to sue.

Either case, quel douchebag.

Halfway through, wonder if this was just his excuse to go through with firing everybody and outsourcing the work.

Christian CEO prays with, insults and then fires 25 of his employees over leaked email...but takes the Lords name in vain within the first two minutes of his speech
I didn't hear that.

"I have to fire them! They never quit on their own!"

I really regret not recording some of my IT manager's soap box rants when I worked for that guy. Would make some awesome Youtube material now that I don't work there anymore.
