Identifying installed RAM

My cousin lives in Cleveland and I'm in south florida. He's got some computer fair beige box system and doesn't have the slightest clue as to what kind of RAM he has installed.
All he knows is he currently has 256MB and would like to upgrade to 512MB. I've told him to look through his motherboard manual but he can't find it.

So is there a simple little windows program he can download and it'll identify the RAM he's got. All it really needs to determine is the speed I suppose , whether it's PC100, PC133 or whatever it may be.

thanks in advance.
