Ideas for Subs in a Conver. Car?

I bought 2 10" suboofers for my convertible. I'm thinking if i put the sub enclosure on my back seat, i have to disconnect it and put it in my trunk everytime i park and walk around.

If i put t in my trunk all the time, would it be powerful enough for me to hear or feel the base?

The subs are only 4ohm 100W RMS, 200W Max.

what he said. i always have put subs in the trunk...less boom inside to damage your hearing, more boom outside to make it known you have em.

Seriously? It does'nt make sense to me... when you enclose sound, would'nt it be softer since most trunks are carpeted and carpets absorb sound waves?

And you guys must have ALOT higher than 100W of raw power!! 😱

Those are pretty weak subs, but should be ok in the trunk. Think about getting a bazooka tube instead of a full enclosure.

I know, i'm cheap, i have not much money.

Is'nt bazooka tube a kind of brand sub? If so i cannot change cos i already bought my 2 10" subs.

Subs need enclosed space in order to work better. (That's a general statement though)

Yes you will definetly hear it in the trunk - that's where 99% of people put them.

A convertible will have less bass because there's no "cabin" for the bass to be boosted in.
Think of a Honda CRX, it's a tiny car. Now look a Lincoln Continental....HUGE.
The CRX will have more bass gain because of the smaller cabin.

Convertibles suck for that because they have virtually no cabin, and the trunk doesn't help much since you're not in the trunk while driving...I assume.

Why not just try it anyhow?

I will do this to every new car I buy as I have never heard better bass.
BTW, I'm only running 50 watts to the subs.

thnks, but alot of those audio terms i donot understand. Since mine is a convertible, i cannot cut a whole behind the back seat, my rear speakers are on the side at the rear.

I'm trying to find the cheapest amp and enclosure box. I saw at CC the enclosure @ $58 the amp @ $79

i think i'll try ebay and online stores.
