Freebee, I forgot about the X type but I'm not a big fan of Jags.

So then you really don't want near-luxury, you just want luxury 😛

Try the Cadillac STS, very nice car.

Correct me if I am wrong, but i believe land rover has an early model discovery that is manual. Not sure if its in europe or what, but i am sure they have a manual on one. I am a proud own of a 98 discovery and I love it, has to be the best car I have ever owned, and they are very nice. Power, room, AWD, 9 speakers, very nice...

EDIT: sorry not sedan, but they are still nice....

The Disco is not a car. I already have an SUV. I need AWD though. My 325i is practically useless in the winter as I live on a steep hill. I'd like to have a stick since my other car is auto.

badge-whore 🙂

anyway, it was my fault that i didn't read your preference, but read this before you go get an A4:

Thanks I'll read it. I've always been hesistant about Audis.

DaWhim, the IS350 will be RWD and auto only. The IS250 will come in AWD but auto only.

seriously, if you want AWD for the snow, sell your old car and buy an auto awd for the snow, and then buy a rwd for regular driving

haha true true, i have yet to have mine in the shop, and i drive the hell out of it, its my main car. from savannah ga to charleston sc all the. just check the fluids every 3000 miles and your fine.

I already have an SUV for bad weather but I also want a car for bad weather too. I thought there would be more choices but after looking I found there weren't. I thought the G35x came in stick but it didn't The M35x was really nice but was auto only. The new 3 also doesn't come in AWD so my choices seem really limited.

Why are you so hell bent on an AWD car?

Audi=VW

VW=crap

I guess if you are so hell bent on this you might as well just buy the fvcking audi and save us all the trouble of arguing with your dumbass though.

What crawled up your @ss and died? Did I offend you because you have a Subaru and I said I didn't want to buy a Subaru? Sheesh. Aren't people entitled to their preferences?

I don't know what is out there or is coming down the pike beyond a few models I looked at which is why I'm asking.

And yes, I agree that VW=Crap.

Go with a V6 Passat 😛

Yeah, I have one, and love it. Note V6

I don't have to post that Vincent Gallo quote from Buffalo '66 again do I? You know luxury cars? They shift themselves. Manual transmissions aren't really in demand any more, and AWD is, for the most part, just a marketing gimmick. Just to mention a AWD manual sedan with a big honking engine: Passat W8. Of course we've established that VW = crap so...

I was looking for a nice sports car for a bit, found the one I wanted for the price I wanted but it's RWD. I prefer RWD over AWD however, if AWD is a must I would go with the Suburu Impreza WRX STI (which is the limited edition). It has just as many creature comforts on the inside and out, and looks better then the G35 in my opinion all around. Not to mention has more power and better handling.

Those saying the Legacy are messed up though. I did not like test driving the Legacy GT at all.

Realisically I suggest going to test drive an Audi S4 and then the Suburu IMPREZA WRX STI and decide for yourself which you like better.

I've owned a VW and an Audi, and I must say.. comparing the two is like comparing an Elephant to a Whale.

Two different species.

Only other options I can think of would be a Volvo S60-R

http://www.edmunds.com/new/2006/volvo/s...n.researchlanding.leftsidenav..7.Volvo*

I like the designs of the S40 and S60 but the reviews I've read on the S60R have been bad. My cousin bought an S40 T5 recently and he has had horrible problems like the entire electrical system conking out while the car is moving or it not starting up in humid weather.

If you guys saw the hill I lived on, you would understand why I need AWD. When it snows, there is always a RWD car stuck on the bottom of the hill. Even my SUV is barely able to make it up. When it rains, its almost as bad as well. It will usually take my car a sec or two to gain traction.
