Ideas for a Bday present needed

Hey all,

My "special gal" unfortunately lives quite a ways away (California, and I'm in Chicago). Her birthday's coming up at the end of this month, and I'm trying to come up with things to do. Of course I will call her and send a card/gift, etc. I'm just trying to come up with ideas for what to get and what to send. I'm broke, so it has to be something home-made, or home-done if you know what I mean. I toyed with the idea of a scrapbook, but we haven't been together incredibly long (just met this past summer) so, I dont exactly have stacks of photos and everything to put in it.

Any fantastically creative ideas? This sucks, the next time I get to see her is December.

It has to be something of personal significance, like maybe a framed picture or something. I dunno, my "friend" didn't really want anything, so I didn't bother, which is probably a mistake.

You could always burn a CD with lovesongs that makes you think of her and put a nice picture of the two of you on the cover and also include a nice letter that tells her how much you like her and how much she means. Perhaps also explain why you chose the tunes you did.
