I'm taking probability & stats, calculus, and physics this year - what calculator would be the best for those classes?

I already have a TI-83plus and my cousin has an 89...she would let me switch calculators so I have two choices here (btw, I think the 83+ have statistics functions built in as opposed to the 89 so I am most likely keeping my 83+.

but more importantly, what math computer programs can I use with the courses listed above? I just d/led statcalc and I'm in the process of testing it out. any other recommendations?

Your 83+ will work fine for those courses. But don't rely on calc programs to help you. If you wanna learn the material, then do it without a calculator unless necessary. You'll only need it for computations, and maybe some of the stat stuff.

89 will make calculus very easy.
But its probably not allowed in tests because of extra features.

If you will be taking higher engineering classes, it will be very helpful.
i used it so much for my systems and signals class. Very good calculator indeed.
