I've got a quiz here(non-school related), on some general server topics. I'd like to see what the experts here would consider to be ideal answers. Some of the questions are pretty general/open-ended.
1.After a server reboot, name 3 checks to ensure the server is stable and functioning?
Extremely general... try accessing the normal services provided by the server? Web server, ftp, exchange, etc?
2.Name one advantage of a clustered environment
Redundancy to protect against a single failure? Load balancing?
3.Name 3 of 5 IIS dependent services that may be stopped and restarted during an IIS restart?
I'm not an IIS guy. FTP, SMTP, NNTP?
4.Name two ways to connect to a server.
Extremely general...? SSH? VNC/Remote Desktop?
5. Define ?Managed Services? and ?Colocation?.
Remote data storage/faciliating server equipment, remote server administration?
6. Describe 3 actions you would take to respond to a monitoring alarm condition:
