Banned
Ok, a bunch of posts recently in the Forum Issues asked "why was this removed" "why did I get banned" "why this" "why that"...

how about the mods (or admin, if you aren't one in the same) create a sticky in the Forum Issues that would be like a log of all the "sh1t" you delete and other things that could quickly be looked up instead of posting. maybe? yes, no? Like, for BrokenVisage's post of "why was this thread deleted?", he could go to FI, go to the top of the thread list and click on something like "Mod log" 🙂

he'd scroll through the list (nothing fancy, just categorized by date) to:

<date><forum><OP creator><mod action><reason>
<w/e the date was it was deleted><ATOT><BrokenVisage><Post deleted><NSFW deletion>

🙂 do I have something here? let me know, thanks

Because that introduces accountability.

And then you'd have stuff like

9/25/05 - Off Topic - Everyone and their dog - Banned - Raging nef fest.

hahahahahaha!

made my day!

Someone that has the ability to produce a thread that gets deleted usually will not have the common sense to look up why it was deleted.

The deletion is usually for lack of common sense.

Catch 22.

As regarding locks; most locks happen for the same reason as a deletion, however, to a lesser extreme.

Most people will not read the rules anyhow; based on the track records of Why did this happen to me type threads.

You know those road signs that show the current speed limit, followed by a digital readout of "Your speed:"?

Now do you think idiots, in general, recognize the discrepency in the 2 speeds and slow down accordingly, or do you think they turn to their buds and say, "Hey, let's see how fast I make make that thing show"?

Now add the 100x idiot-scaling factor that the relative anonymity of the internet grants its users, and you have a veritable recipe for disaster.
