Alright, Ive mentioned this before but I play bass guitar, and as I was just playing around this idea came to me. (I seriously doubt this would work but it would be cool)

ATOT Jam Session.

What I was thinking was a guitarist can start jamming and record their stuff as an Mp3. They put up the link and a person adds a bass line (me or someone else who plays bass). They upload an mp3 of them playing along with it. Pass it on to a drummer and they do the same. Finally compile it together and you got a jam session.

Alright I just had to write that. I know the likelihood of this happening is like 0. Just a cool idea that popped in my head.

I'm also a bass player. I once did something similar with some friends in different cities. It kinda works. It was a lot easier to record stuff and have one person mix it all together.

I would much, MUCH rather have a physical get-together for fellow ATOT musicians. The process that the OP lined out is going to be cold and unattached. To me, it's hard to describe with words but there's just something you don't get when you're not all in the same room, looking each other in the eye, watching the body movement of your mates, and feeling this ... almost-tangible groove. When you're not together, you don't fit as well together as a group. I don't feel it. I can't seem to find the pulse of the band ... *shrug*

I produce electronic music. When you guys are done let me remix it. I'm not talking about some UNS UNS UNS UNS glowstick raver type stuff, either.
