They aren't "civilized" humans, that are ready and acclimated to get back into society. They have a lot more in common with feral animals.

Putting them in a "camp" (without any razor-wire or walls, they would be free to travel, just not into the zones with "proper civilized society"), but provide them with running water and sanitation facilities seems to be the most humane thing that you could do for them.

Seriously, fuck all the way off. Maybe try talking to one of them sometime so you can realize they're still people, they still matter. You've got your fucking cushy government-funded life that you're throwing away while they're struggling just to exist.

One of my best friends used to be homeless. Now he's on SSI, has a section 8 apt, etc. He still acts like he's homeless, 20 years later, mentally.

My experience points out that you can give a homeless person an apt., but that's like putting a suit on Tarzan, it doesn't make them suddenly civilized.

Some people really are so mentally "broken", that they can't be reached / helped, just by giving them creature comforts. I know that's a hard fact to hear.

You think trying to right-side your life from acute paranoid schizophrenia is easy? That it's just cushy? The fact that I've gotten as far as I have proves that I wasn't "throwing away" my life. In fact, out of all my disabled friends, I was basically the only one that could drive. I was the back-bone of our little friend community, until I stopped driving. Basically became house- bound due to covid and weight problems.

I know you're shitting on these people while you never have to worry about where your next meal is or where you're going to sleep on a freezing night. We were pleading with you to try and do something about your weight issues before you even hit 400 lbs. I have a friend who was addicted to heroin and homeless for five years, who suffers from schizophrenia, and he's got housing now. I got that impression from a documentary on homelessness in Hawaii. If the aid workers have to fear for their lives and or possessions, and these homeless even speak their own street language, that's NOT positive.

Yeah, now try to imagine how you would be if your social benefits were taken away. Would you be able to hold down a job and provide yourself housing? Or should you be run out of town?

What if there was a "campground" on the outskirts of town, where people could eat, sleep, shower/wash/bathe and do whatever they wanted to do (as long as it doesn't violate the rights of others).


As opposed to dropping tents, needles, and human waste, right on the corner of main Street in town.

This campground could have visitors, and indeed,for those in it that might be employed, they would need a chaperone from town to escort them into town for the day for their job,and return them at night.
