Idea for a case

Has this been done before?

Take a 17" monitor
Gut it
Place an LCD in where the CRT would have been
Install the normal PC components in the copious amounts of empty space left behind from the CRT and it's electronics

It seems to me that you'd have pleanty of space inside, it'd be well ventilated, and it wouldn't take up much space.

I think your idea is similar to what the designer of this had:

That was designed like a panel PC. I'm talking about a 100% standard setup.

Okay, so there's no LCD, but the concept is the same.

actaullly, its been done before. Guy gutted an iMac, put an lcd up front with a P4, Ti 4600, amoung some other things he fit inside the case.
