ide to sata

i need to get infomation off a ide hdd. my computer is sata.i'tryed adaptors they say work but they don't.is there a adaptor out there that will work?


msi mobo 3.33.2gig mem.

If you just need to get data off of it, grab a cheap USB to Sata/IDE adapter from ebay.

Alternatively, get an external IDE (PATA) USB case. Extract the data and then keep it as a backup.

Adapter reliability is hit or miss. A USB external is very reliable and, afterwards, very useful.

For temporary use, an IDE/Sata/USB multi-adaptor is incredibly useful. I use this thing all the time.
