I have 4 IDE devices (in addition to my OS 40GB Raid0/Promise Fasttrack setup)

Maxtor 160GB HD
Maxtor 120GB HD
LiteOn DVD Drive
Sony DVD+-R/W Drive

Always wondered which way I should have them setup regarding Master/Slave and channels? Should optical drives always be slaves?

when i had 4 IDE drives a 2 DVD drives i had the Opticals on 1 cable, and the hard drives on another. It really doesn't matter how you set it up as long as your jumpers are in the correct positions
