I have a sony computer that i custimized with video card firewire and tv tuner cards. I wanted to get a new hard drive (500gb) but I dont have any free cables and my computer only has IDE. I currently have 3 IDE hard drives and 1 Dvd burner. I want to add a 500gb so i was going to swap out a hard drive but then i noticed that i could buy a SATA PCI card.

With this card could i use my 4 IDE slots plus an additional 1+ depending on my Sata card.
BTW my motherboard is Asus P4S266-VX, but i dont know if it matters
