IDE-RAID Question

Howdy, got some questions about IDE Raid boards in general.

Since the board has 4 IDE connections, can I run a total of 8 differant IDE devices? (ie 5 HDD, 1 CD, 1 Burner, 1 DVD or whatever combo)

Are the IDE connections paired, so that I can run one set as IDE and one set as RAID? (ie 2 HDD, 1 CD, 1 Burner on one channel; 3-4 matched HDD on the other channel)

I appreciate any insight in this matter or a link to a page which describes IDE RAID! Thanks!

Yep 2 IDE connections are just that and the other 2 are RAID.

Supports upto 8 drives, though for RAID0 best one drive on each channel so six.
RAID0+1 uses all four (2 striping & 2 mirroring).
