IDE Harddrive and CDRW Trouble

Ive got :
IDE 1 - Fujitsu UDMA 66 on UDMA Cable
IDE 2 - CD and CDRW

Whenever i connect my Quantum to my Fuj cable, it takes over and the Fuj Dissappears from BIOS, any ideas? also every other combination makes the fuj dissapear too........................Spooky
