Hey there,

I had a few Q's on this:

1) What is the performance difference
between buying a hard-drive that is
already FIREWIRE vs. buying an IDE drive
and using a IDE->FIREWIRE adapter ?

I haven't tried this before and was
wondering if the added savings warrant
this option.

2) What's the durability difference
between the FIREWIRE drive and the
ADAPTED drive ? IE: traveling and such.

BTW- this goes for either FIREWIRE or
USB2 adapters. I just need to be able
to switch out the drives.

Thanks for any suggestions.
